Dear Worried mom,
When boarding your dog or
leaving him with a pet
sitter make sure you leave
detailed instructions
especially if your dog needs
special care like taking
daily medication.
Make sure your dog is up to
date on all vaccinations.
Lastly, and this is the most
important tip I can give as
a veterinarian, leave a
signed letter with your
boarding facility or sitter
specifically giving them the
power to make medical
decisions for your dog in
case an emergency arises and
you cannot be reached.
